Janice Johansson Obituary

MERIDEN - Janice (Hull) Johansson, 86, wife of the late Lars Johansson, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015, at Atria Hamilton Heights in W. Hartford.

She was born June 1, 1929, in Meriden, a daughter of the late Charles and Emily (Boehle) Hull. Janice gradauted from Meriden High School. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home, playing bridge and was a member of the Meriden Kiwanis Club, senior's group.

She is survived by a son, Erik Johansson, of W. Hartford, Cindy Johansson and her husband, Keith Savage, of Berlin; and five grandchildren, Persephone, Lars and Emily Johansson and Laurel and Kevin Savage. She also leaves a great-granddaughter, Lucy Charlie Johansson; and a brother, Charles Hull. She was predeceased by two sisters, Joyce Bidwell and Gloria Savage.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 10, at 12 p.m. at Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Eric, Cindy and family. I just found out and I am so sorry for your loss. Janice was an amazing person and I got to see her in NYC when my mother-in-law threw a big family party and Janice and Eric managed to come. I think it was in 2010. Our thoughts are with you and I hope we can see you all in the future.
