Sandra DeLong Obituary
Sandra was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 28, 1934 to Walter and Peggy Ball. Her parents moved to Berkeley, Calif., where she was raised. She married Denton DeLong in 1954 and they had a lively time raising three children and moving across the United States several times. They also lived in Italy while raising their young family in the '60s. Sandra and Denton sadly lost one of their children, Tia Denel DeLong, at the age of 21. Sandra became a dedicated Christian Scientist through her marriage. She was a profoundly spiritual person and lived life with great courage and cheerful faith. Most recently she was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Westport, Conn.
Sandra is survived by her two children, Lonia Adams and Kyle DeLong; daughter-in-law, Sandy DeLong; grandchildren, Reece DeLong, Kira Adams, Danielle DeLong, and Brooke Adams; and two beautiful great-grandchildren, children Zariah and Myah Maldinado. Sandra was a generous great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, and wife.
A celebration of Sandra's life and spirit will be privately held at a later date and time. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Regency House - Recreation Center, 181 E. Main St., Wallingford, CT 06492.

When you work in health care, often residents leave an impression on your heart.
Sandra was the most brilliant women I had ever been given the pleasure of meeting , she was cultured , funny , and kind. She was a resident who always was concerned about us, our families and how she can help to make it a better day. I will remember her generosity , her quick Witt, Alexa and her little quirks.
My life is profoundly better for knowing her.
