Dad, Me, Mom

Benjamin Disraeli, British Prime Minister and novelist once said, "the legacy of heroes is the memory of a great name and the inheritance of a great example." While my dad may not be remembered worldwide, anyone who has met him will remember him to have been a good man.
I will always think of my dad with a smile on his face. His smile was infectious. If his smile alone didn't make you smile, he was quick with a joke or funny story to do the trick.
My father was a VERY kind man. He would do anything he could for anyone in need. He always believed in me and encouraged me in everything I did.
Daddy was also as strong as he was kind. He got custody of all three of his kids at a time that that was still relatively hard for a man to do. He worked hard and sacrificed most luxuries and time with mom to make sure we did not want for anything. No matter what life threw dads way, he met the challenge with his head high and confidence that he would rise above.
Though the name Stuart Dunham may not be recorded in world history as a catalyst for great change, I feel certain that many lives are changed for the better because my father touched them. I will make sure he lives on through me by teaching my children the lessons he taught me.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Stu's entire family and friends. I had the great pleasure of meeting and working in concert with Stu as a Pepsi vendor in association with Walmart. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met and always complimented me on my daughter who was a co-worker with him at one time. I don't recall Stu ever having a bad day! Rest in Peace Stu....
