Peter Rosaschi Obituary

Peter P. Rosaschi, Jr.
May 24, 1931 - December 8, 2020
Monroe, NY
Peter Paul passed away after 89 beautiful laps around the sun. Peter and his sister, Josephine, (deceased: 2017) were born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.
Pete attended NYU and joined the Navy, retiring from the reserves after 35 years as Commander. His love of the Navy carries on as their dog's name is Buoy.
Professionally, he served 35 years in the New York City Board of Education at various locations before retiring as a Principal. Pete owned Bald Hill Oil for many years. Peter served his community as a member of the American Legion Post #488, the West Point Yacht Club, life member of the Monroe Ambulance Corps, and volunteered with American Red Cross for 50 years. Summers were spent managing waterfronts at camp with his family.
For Dad, it was always about family and he was never happier than when he was surrounded by his loving children, grandchildren and outlaws. His skill as a craftsman was shared in building countless projects with and for his 23 grandchildren.
His legacy includes his loving wife of 62 years, Florence Crowley Rosaschi of Monroe, NY; his children: Ellen Linares (Fran) of Charlotte, NC; Nora Habig (Mike) of Carlisle, PA; Peter, III, (Beth) of Steubenville, OH; Daniel, (Sharon) of Highland Mills, NY; Thomas, (Liz) of E. Syracuse, NY; John, (Sue) of Bel Air, MD; and Amy Pinto (Frank) of Land O Lakes, FL; his grandchildren: Anna, Lauren, Erin, William, Katie, Lindsey, Peter, Michael (Molly), Suzie, Emily, Sarah, Charles, Edward, Margaret, James, Abigail, Tommy (Shelby), Joe, Luke, Jake, Nick, Allison and Franky and with a great granddaughter on the way. Peter was predeceased by his two grandsons Daniel and Teddy.
Dad's love and dedication working with children with special needs was exceeded only by the love he had for his own family and, by extension, every visiting friend, who became like family. His generous spirit touched many and we are blessed he shared it so willingly.
When through one man, A little more love, A little more goodness, A little more hope, A little more beauty, A little more joy, and a little more faith Has come into the world, Then that man's life Has had meaning.
Thank you for a most meaningful life Dad.
