Kenneth Reimann Obituary

Kenneth "Ken" Reimann

1962-2013

Kenneth "Ken" Reimann left this earth peacefully in the arms of his wife and best friend Jill on October 21, 2013. Ken was born on June 21, 1962 to Jack and Barbara Reimann in Beaverton, Oregon. He was the middle child with an older sister Katherine and younger sister Karen.

Ken married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Jill Davidson on Valentines day, February 14, 1987. It was one of the happiest days of his life. Another happiest day of Ken's life was on March 16, 1990 when his son Travis John Reimann was born. He nearly burst with pride when he became a father, and continued to proudly support Travis in all of his accomplishments throughout his childhood and young adulthood. Ken graduated from Springfield High School in 1980 and went on to take over and build his family's business, Commercial Air Inc. He was a successful businessman whose generosity and tender heart touched so many. His booming voice and contagious laugh echoed through various job sites, supplier businesses, and meetings with his staff. He was a fair and conscientious boss who cared deeply about those he employed and was always willing to do everything he could to take care of his crew of many who referred to him fondly as "The Chief".

No one was a bigger fan of the University of Oregon Ducks football team, than Ken. He has been a huge presence at nearly every home game and several away games for many years, sharing his season tickets with friends and family so that they could have the experience of a lifetime enjoying a game with him, Jill, and Travis. He generously shared the best tailgate parties with those attending the games with him as well as anyone who happened to stop by the big COM AIR truck for a meal, a drink, or to toss the football around.

Although Ken provided an amazing and beautiful home for his family, he may have been most truly "at home" fishing and crabbing in the Pacific Ocean, and snowmobiling in the Cascade mountains of Oregon. He landed several "trophy" halibut and Salmon, and was the king of "limiting out" in his home away from home, his beautiful boat comically named "Bite Me". Ken hosted many friends and family members on his boat as well as on snowmobiling at Crescent. He loved being a generous host on these outings, especially for people who were new to the experiences of deep sea fishing and snowmobiling.

Ken Reimann was a generous, kind, humorous, and huge hearted, man who loved and cared for people deeply and without limits. He will be missed by so many. He is survived by his wife Jill, their son Travis, and his partner Holly Roberts of Eugene, his mother Barbara Bell of Eugene, his father Jack Reimann of Portland, his grandmother Edna McDonald of Stayton and his two sisters Katherine Weigart of Long Beach, WA, and Karen Cross of Sisters, OR.

A celebration of life will be held this Sunday, October 27, at 1:00pm at Alton Baker Park Shelter 2 in Eugene, OR. All who wish to attend are welcome.

You have been a very special part of my life. The laughter we shared was good, at a time when I needed your help, you were always there - I didn't think of you as "boss" but as a friend. Your family was just as important to me. Rest in peace Ken, and know you were loved by many. God bless you. Deepest Sympathy, Ellen

Ken was by far the best boss I had ever had. I wish I could have spent more time with him and knew him better. I admired him as a business owner and aspired to succeed in my own business venture as gracefully as he did in his. He was a good and fair man. My heart goes out to his family and friends - he will be missed so much by so many people.

I will always remember Ken as a big guy, but not as big as his heart and generousity. Ken always made everyone around him feel welcomed and I remembered that when I first met him he acted like he knew me for a lifetime. Ken's laughter always filled the room and his love for family and friends was obvious to all.
God and the angels will enjoy his company and humor but he will be greatly missed here on earth.

Jill and Trav, We are so so sorry for your amazing loss of an amazing husband, father, friend and one of a million person. My heart goes out to you all and were here if there is ANYTHING we can be of help with. Ken will always hold a special place in my heart for being one of the first people to call me and say he was sorry for the loss of Donny and wanting to do a billboard announcement at the Duck Game. He had the BIGGEST HEART of anyone I have ever met. The world was a better place because he was in it. Now he can go and cheer on our Ducks with Donny. We have some true angels watching over us.
