I was so sorry to hear of Mary's passing Nazir. She was the kindest most soft spoken Lady I have ever met. I missed her when I retired from Dr. Langs office. May God bless you and your family Nazir. Sincerely Linda Conners

A good heart has stopped beating, but a heart that has touched so many lives would continue to live on in our lives for ever.
We shall continue to cherish the memories of Mary’s visit to Japan and thereafter our visit to Nevada when she took us on a tour to Hoover Dam.
Mary was the most soft spoken, gentle and warm hearted person. May my brother Nazir find comfort in the loving memories he shared with his wife of 60 years.

We met Mary and Nazir a decade ago when we moved to Nevada and were immediately struck by Mary and Nazir's warm and loving attitude toward humanity and the environment. Having grown up in Urbana, Illinois near Mary's hometown of Lincoln, we appreciated that Mary and Nazir brought to Nevada the very best of middle American values. Her generous contributions to both the University and the Desert Research Institute are well known and are a testament to her productive legacy. Mary had a special sense of kindness that permeated her surroundings and left you with a felling of warmth and endearing friendship after every meeting. Her courage in writing up her last book, while seriously ill, is a testament to her strength of character. We loved Mary and join her many admirers who will greatly miss her.

Mary was a sweet friend since we met in first grade. We shared opposite ends of Lincoln Avenue forever after we started school. Until we graduated high school she was always close with encouragement and a big smile. The years that followed were always sweeter as our paths crossed from time to time. Her letters became treasures to other worlds we chanced upon. I will miss her greatly...
