Kaylene Corbridge ClawsonMay 17, 1957April 16, 2011Kaylene Corbridge Clawson, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and "Favorite Aunt", passed away peacefully at home with her husband and family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, April 23, 2011 in the LDS chapel at 7625 Shadow Lane, Sparks with viewing at 9:30am.  We would like to thank our family, friends, and the staff at "Circle of Life" Hospice for their loving and caring services to Kaylene for the last few months of her life.

To Kaylene's Family, This lovely sister was born 17 days after me at St. Mary's Hospital. Who knew that we would be together at Alice Maxwell then Mutual, Seminary, and Graduate together. What a darling, darling person. I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to say goodbye to someone you love so much. Please take care of yourselves. ....

I first met Kaylene over the phone interviewing her for a position with the law firm I was managing at the time. I hung up thinking, "I hope she is as great in person as she was on that phone call." She was. And more. Although we both left that firm after a short time, we remained friends and whenever someone asked who would be an exceptional employee to hire, we always pointed to each other! I so admired her dedication to her family and for just being as cheerful as a person could be, no matter what or who she was facing. Kaylene taught me to "kill them with kindness." The more difficult or nastier someone was, the nicer she would get. It was wonderful! Although I will miss her smile and laugh, I am happy she is now at peace and I'm sure spreading her joy all over heaven.

My first (and still very vivid) memory of Kaylene is of our first days together in first grade at Alice Maxwell. This tiny little girl was all over the place. Constantly jumping around. So filled with excitement. She couldn't sit still. It was her over abundance of cheer and joy that keep her from being a distraction and from getting into trouble. We spent eleven additional years in school together and she never ceased to be the excited, exuberant, and very nice person that she was in the first grade. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. My condolences to her family.

Dear Kurt and Corbridge family, We were saddened to hear about Kaylene's passing. Expected, but still sad to hear. She has a special place in my heart, since I've known her since she was born and was a part of our family, as were all of the Corbridge children. Her happy smile and friendliness will be missed. The Lord does know what he is doing. She will be welcomed by Auntie Irene. Our love goes out to all of you. Love, Laura and Jack Laramie
