George Denison Obituary

George L. Denison, Jr., 79, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at home on Thursday, Dec. 17.  He was the loving husband of Arleen M. (DeLong) Denison. Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late George L. Denison, Sr. and Ledouina (Fortin) Denison. 
Mr. Denison worked as an engineer and tool designer for Stanley Bostitch Company until his retirement. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of the former American Legion in Exeter.  He was an Assistant Boy Scout Master for Troop 1 Ashaway for many years and a member of the East Greenwich Veterans Fireman's Club. 
Besides his wife, he leaves his four loving children: George L. Denison, III and his wife Peggy of Exeter, Nina M. Kane and her husband Kevin of West Warwick, Lisa A. McLellan and her husband David of Warwick, and Pamela L. Tritschler and her husband Richard of South Carolina.  Cherished grandfather of nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one late grandson.  He was the brother of Amanda Quattromani and her husband Frank of Westerly. 
His Funeral Service was held Monday, Dec. 21 in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.  Burial was be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 will be appreciated.  For online messages of condolence, kindly visit www.CranstonMurphy.com.

Dave, Lisa, and family: My sincere condolences upon the passing of George. I met him when he golfed with the NKSB @ ECC, and remember the many conversations that we had through the years, at our favorite restaurant. A great guy. May he rest in peace.

we are now living in Las Vegas

it hurts us all. I remember the good times we had
when he was healthy and well
when someone like George Denison
passed away. All I can think of is God is looking for more Angels
