Glenn Moore Obituary
It is not our purpose to question God, nor to fully understand the mysteries of his providence, but to continue to put our faith and trust in him as his divine will is with this testament of assurance that we sadly bid farewell to our most beloved, Mr. Glenn Leroy Moore.
Glenn affectionately known as “Glenn Gotti” of 3100 Pinetree Drive, Petersburg, departed this life on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was born April 25, 1983 in Petersburg, to Glenn Clanton and Katherine Moore.
He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Jr.; brother, Jacory Moore; grandfather, James O. Moore II; maternal great grandparents, Jeanette Moore and Mary Williams; paternal great grandparents, Louise and David Clanton; uncles, James and Charles Moore and Stoney and Darrell Beasley.
Glenn leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Alexis Lewis of Henrico, and Knyla Moore of Petersburg; two sons, Cinciere and Knalige Moore both of Petersburg; lovely and devoted fiancée, Satesha Williams; devoted mother, Katherine Moore (Albert) of Petersburg; very devoted father, Glenn Clanton (Diane) of Petersburg; two devoted loving brothers, Keith Moore (Takia) and Marvin Wilkins (Trina) both of Petersburg; two devoted sisters, Tamesha Jones of Petersburg, and Kinika Jones of Hopewell; grandmother, Alice G. Moore (Robert) of Prince George, and Rosa Beasley of Carson; grandparents, Ernest Beasley (Mary) of Petersburg; five uncles, Michael Moore (Linda) of Prince George, Steven Hardy, Tony Clanton and Lamont Beasley (Patricia) all of Carson, and Monroe Armstrong (Echantrese) of Hampton; six aunts all devoted, Alice Moore and Angela Reid both of Chesterfield, Mary Rosa Beasley (Gary), Larita Beasley (Monte) and Charlene Beasley all of Petersburg, and Annette Beasley of Carson; six nephews, Kelian Crawford-Moore, Kamryn Moore, Anthony Taylor, Jr., Kamaurion Jackson, Jacory D. Moore-Carr and LaTimer Hart, Jr; five nieces, Kailyn Moore, Tycheyana and Teajah Jones, Lamiya and Laniya Hart; god-parents, Lloyd and Sandra Tucker of Chesterfield; god-sisters, Sharanda Drakeford and Sheleta Goode both of Chesterfield; devoted cousins Frank, Chimart, Tee Bugg, Keon and Trez B.; very special devoted friends, Benny, JonJon, Trey, Antonio, E-Dot Com, Dante “DT”, Dre, Mack, Bo Diddy and Rashanda Mason; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to name.

Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 800 Augusta Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Dr. Wesley K. McLaughlin, Pastor and Rev. D. Tyrone Brandon, eulogist. Interment to follow at the Clanton Family Cemetery.
The family will assemble 12:00 Noon the day of the service and receive friends at 823 Augusta Avenue, Petersburg, VA.
