Mary Gene Fens

Mary Gene Fens, 69, of N. Chesterfield, passed away peacefully and into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 17, 2018. By her side, as always, was her loving husband of 50 years, Mr. Johannes C. Fens, Sr. She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Thomas Fens. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 8 children, Johannes C. Fens, Jr. (Holly), Peter Fens (Alice), Chris Fens (Amy), Jeannie Oliver (William), David Fens (Elise), Terri Fens (Heather), Catherine Fens (Archie) and Lisa Moss (Joe) and her daughter in-law, Candice Fens; siblings, Layne Chaffin, Thomas Dawson (Suzanne), William Dawson (Sarah) and Therese Ann Kambach (George). She is also survived by her 26 grandchildren, all of whom she loved quite dearly. Gene had an amazing, selfless spirit and touched so many lives. She will be dearly missed by all and forever remembered by her large, loving family. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 4400 Beulah Rd. N. Chesterfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
