LARRY GENE HULBERT, 76 MACHESNEY PARK - Larry Gene Hulbert, 76, of Machesney Park, formerly of Missouri, passed away August 26, 2013, in Missouri. Born March 28, 1937, in Farmsburg, Iowa, son to Vern and Mineva (Behrens) Hulbert. Larry worked for Atwood and Aqua Matic. Married to the former Sharon Peterson June 19, 1970. Larry enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved riding his four wheeler. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Sharon; son, Joe (Darlene) Hulbert; daughter, Laura Anderson; brother, Tom Hulbert; sisters, Maxine Beisker, and Delores (Dave) Peterson; grandchildren, Joseph Hulbert, Amber Simmons, Shawn Anderson, and Missy Anderson; great-grandchildren, Paeng Hulbert, Taylie Simmons, Jamie Anderson and Kaiden Anderson. Preceded by his parents; brothers; and sisters. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013, in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel, 4311 North Mulford Road. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to service time Tuesday in the funeral home. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Express condolences and share memories online at honquestfh.com.
