JOSEPH A. GAZIANO, 76 MACHESNEY PARK - Joseph A. Gaziano, 76, of Machesney Park passed away Friday, June 8, 2012, in St. Joseph, Mo., while on vacation. A beloved and devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather has gone home to join his parents and 10 siblings with the Lord. He graduated from West High School and attended the University of Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army, worked and retired from the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time and traveling with his wife and family. He was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Member of Blackhawk Trails Club. Survivors include wife, Diane; sister, Rose Zammuto; children, Diana (Tim) Outzen, Deborah (Mary Hines) Garr, Daniel (Diane) Garr, Denise (Matt) VanFleet, Joseph (Marta) Gaziano and Leonard (Natalie) Gaziano; grandchildren, Brandi (Sal) Covarrubias, Timothy and George Outzen, Tiffani (Paul) Wollenberg, Kaitlyn Outzen, Daniel and Nicholas VanFleet, Joseph and Dominick Gaziano; great-grandchildren, Emilio and Salvador; brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. To our special friend. I worked with Joe at the store for many years and when he met and married my friend Diane, We couldn't have been happier. We have spent many hours of eating and playing cards together. He will surely be missed. God Bless the family and give them strength to endure. We know he is in a wonderful place.
