John HAW Obituary
HAW, Dr. John Charles
Born March 10, 1934 and went to be with The Lord May 6, 2014 with his family at his side. Loving husband of 56 years to Cici, father to Mark and Kevin. Father-in-law to Jill and Annette. Grandfather to Alex, Carly, Kelly and Hannah. John straightened the teeth of many East Sac families for over 25 years. John was an active volunteer for many organizations in Sacramento and at the Sea Ranch. A founding member of the Cleft Palate Boards for UC Davis and Sutter Hospitals in Sacramento, Good Buy Clothes and Mary Star of the Sea Church in Gualala, California. President of Sutter Lawn Tennis Club. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Cancer Society, Good Buy Clothes or the charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held on Friday May 9 at 2pm at W.F. Gormley & Sons Chapel, 2015 Capitol Ave, Sacramento.

Dear Cici, Kevin, Mark & extended family, I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Haw's passing. I have many fond memories when we were neighbors on 40th Street and all my many visits to his office with he and Jill. He left me with straight teeth and a beautiful smile. He will be remembered for his huge heart and kind ways. My thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.

Dear Cici, Mark, Kevin & Families -- Thank you, Cici, for your call of 2 weeks ago and Mark for your call tonight. Jan and I are so saddened about John's passing after his courageous and long struggle. My happy memories of John and the Haw family go back 65+ years, only because we ARE family! If time permitted, we would be in Sacramento tomorrow for the service for John who was such a kind & giving human being -- the last in the family of our parents' great generation -- and he will be sorely missed by all those whose lives he touched. John was a good friend and great doctor who gave our daughter her beautiful smile. We always enjoyed his visits on Brand Way. Our sympathies to the Haw family.
