YAMAMOTO, Gary R.
10/24/1956 - 6/20/2012
Gary loved life-coaching basketball, playing golf and above all, spending time with family. After a courageous battle with cancer, Gary passed away peacefully at home. He will be remembered as a loyal and caring son, husband, father, brother, uncle, coach, and friend.
Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 27 years to Debbie and loving father to his sons Kyle and Bryan. Also survived by his parents, Mits and Jayne Yamamoto, sisters Diane (Lester), Ginny (Robert), Glenna Madeiros, nieces, nephews and numerous relatives. Gary touched many lives and will be truly missed by all.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Buddhist Church of Florin at 7235 Pritchard Road in Sacramento, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

Wow, Gary was an amazing man. I still think about all the fun we had every day. Still tell everyone about him and all the crazy tricks he played on me. Gary loved getting to me....which he did quite often. I miss him.

My heartfelt and deepest condolences to the Gary Yamamoto Family. Over 30 years ago when I was at CSUS, I worked part time as a student assistant at EDD, Gary at SDI Unit and I at Personal Income Tax Unit of the tax branch. At various times, he mentored and guided me through my early days at EDD with patience and tactfulness. I will always remember that. Rest in peace....

My heart is heavy, my prayers are with Deb, his sons and all the family Gary loved so much. The years we worked together I never felt like his supervisor because he was always my friend first. Gary was a wonderful sweet person. Lots of memories, I will miss him.
