Corrine Hood Obituary
October 19, 1946 - November 1, 2020
Redding/ Carmichael, California - Corrine S. Hood, 74 passed away at Willow Springs in Redding, California on November 1, 2020.
Corrine ("Connie") was born in Benton, Illinois. She graduated from San Juan High School. Corrine's good friend Darlene convinced her to go on a blind date with Richard Hood. And it worked out, 9 months later they were married, later had a daughter. They resided in Carmichael for 49 years, she was a very busy and successful woman.
She got into the optical field where she excelled, became business partners with Mike Francesconi of Katz & Klein Optical Lab, for many years. She became the first female President of COLA and OLA optical laboratory of America. She was very passionate about Soroptimist of greater Sacramento where she volunteered her time to help educate women and make there lives more fulfilling. In her spare time she belonged to several book clubs and the love of golf. She also enjoyed giving parties to her friends who meant a great deal to her. She was a very meticulous lady, she had to match from head to toe, including her purses.
Corrine was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Richard, who passed away in September 2011. A loving mother and Grandmother, she leaves behind a daughter Richelle, Granddaughter Corrine, Erica, Grandson Aaron, Son-in-law John. Brothers Micky, Rob, Jim and many friends. She will be missed by family and friends.
Due to the pandemic we will have a celebration of life in the middle part of 2021.

Met Corrine they Soroptimist and became friends. She had Wonderful sense of humor and a great laugh. She was a brilliant business woman in a make dominated industry. A Renaissance Woman, a caring friend with a love of life. I'll miss your laugh, sparkling wit and kindness.
