Albert W. Hoime

1929 - 2018

Albert W. Hoime was born on December 9, 1929 in Lehr, North Dakota and passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on February 22, 2018. Albert, lovingly known as Ole from a very early age, enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1951 and served in Europe for 3 years before being honorably discharged. He then moved to Sacramento where he resumed his career as a butcher and met and married his loving wife of over 60 years, Elaine Frantsvog. Ole and Elaine faithfully served their Lutheran Church throughout their entire lives while raising their four children, spending time with many family and friends, and eventually retiring to enjoy life which included traveling and lots of golf for Ole. Ole is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lillie; 7 siblings; and his son, Mark. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; and their children, David, Gary, and Barbra; as well as 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren (with 2 more on the way) and many other family and friends. Friends are invited to a celebration of Ole's life at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 8701 Elk Grove-Florin Rd, Elk Grove on March 17 at 11:00am followed by a reception at the church.
