WENHAM — Mrs. Alice D. (Mullarkey) Tipert, 94, beloved wife of the late Gardner Barker Tipert, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Beverly Hospital.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine Mullarkey. She was raised and educated in the Salem, she received her education in the Salem School System.
Upon her marriage she moved to Danvers and with her husband Gardner, operated the Tipert Farm for many years on Route 114 in Danvers. Alice moved to Wenham in 1980 where she has since resided.
Mrs. Tipert is survived by her daughter, Gail Burnham of Hamilton; and her son, Leonard Tipert of Wenham; her six grandchildren, Scott Burnham of Hamilton, Susan Sylvia of South Dartmouth, Kimberly Tipert of Tyngsboro, Nicholas Tipert of New York, Brett Tipert of New York and Erin MacDowell of Rockport; her seven great-grandchildren, Samm Burnham of Salem, Pete Burnham of Baltimore and Robert "Bo" Burnham of Hamilton, Jack and Owen Sylvia of South Dartmouth and Charlie and Sam Macdowell of Rockport; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary Fullerton, Catherine Dalton and Louise Campbell and John, Martin and James Mullarkey.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Route 62) Danvers, Thursday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Wenham Cemetery, Wenham. Visiting hours Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. On line guestbook at www.legacy.com. For more information, inquire at 978-774-6600.
