May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Banner and Kennett played checkers with a small group of us at Bojangles's in Greensboro. Both where senior gentlemen and we love and enjoyed their company.

Banner Smith played music with me and a group of friends for many years before moving from Tucker a few years ago. He played guitar, harmonica and fiddle and had a strong baritone voice. He was a talented musician and knew many (maybe hundreds) of songs. He was one of the nicest men I have ever met. I feel honored to have been his friend.

Brother Smith was a fine man and I have many memories of being with him at Tucker Lodge. My sincere condolences to the family.
