I am soooo sorry that I did not see this sooner! I just saw it in one of the AFHS Facebook pages! I was Christian's 5th grade teacher at Alpine Elementary, and I adored him! Seeing that he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Weber State does not surprise me! God bless the Groscost family, and RIP, Christian.

To my dear Cinnamon, It is so hard to believe it has been a whole year without Chris physically here for you, but you DO know he is here with you spiritually and all you need to do is talk to him and he will do all he can to help you heal. Thanks you for being my friend for over 30 years and I will always love you and your family.

I worked with Chris for years at emWare. I was always impressed with him...a true iconoclast with a heart of gold. One thing I remember most about Chris was an old expression he would use whenever I stopped by his desk to go over some work with him. He always ended our conversations with the words "Right on!" I usually laughed whenever he said these words, a reaction which made him smile. I explained once that I thought he was way too young to know that expression from the 1960s. I also said that I thought those words really suited his character. I lost track of Chris after he went to Harman, but I did run into him one day near there. I did some work for a business quite near to Harman. Chris drove up on his bike and stopped to talk to me. I remember us saying the usual things....good to see you, how you doing...I also remember enjoying his smile when I was the first to say "Right on!" to him as we finished our chat. His smile in return told me everything I needed to know about him. If I could, I'd like to tell Chris face to face now that he made a difference in my life. But my faith is that Chris now knows the truth and he is now surrounded by Peace. That is my prayer for him and for his family. Right on Chris!

Chris was a rare friend, discerningly honest in judgment and generous in demeanor. Supposing that life is like chess, I recall fond memories of our many encounters. Chris would agree, regardless of who wins, there is much joy shared in lighting up over a game, staging our pieces and sharing the conversations and opportunity of time well spent. Together we share the memories, and so it will continue to be. My heart goes out to my dear friends...Julie, Erin, Dixie and family, i wish you peace.

I had the privilege of working with Chris at Harman. He was extremely intelligent and took great pride in the projects he worked on. He was always kind and had a smile on his face that would brighten anyone's day. We had many conversations while taking our quick breaks throughout the day. From talking about his Harley, to his step daughter Chloe, his son Mikkel and of course his beautiful wife Cinnamon that he loved dearly. I hope he is truly at rest now and the healing for his family and friends can begin. He will be greatly missed. RIP my friend.

I vividly remember some of the most real conversations I've had sitting on your couch in the apt. in the Aves. Then many moons later, reconnecting and talking as if no time had passed. Thanks for that.
You lived a lot of life in your years. I'll miss you Chris.

On days Chris rode his Harley to work, I knew the moment he pulled into the parking lot. Without even having to look up, as soon as I heard the rumble I knew it was him. I'm gonna miss seeing him ride thru the parking lot, I always thought he looked so cool! :)
I remember one day, he came up to the front desk to pick up a new employee badge because he had updated his employee picture. Was I shocked to see that he didn't have his hair in a ponytail! I told him that I was jealous because his hair was so much longer and prettier than mine :) He just laughed and thanked me for the compliment.
Dear Chris, even though I didn't work with you directly, your presence will be truly missed here at Harman. Rest in peace, my friend.
My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Like many I spoke to Chris a lot over the years at Harman -- he would be quietly observing a conversation during break and once it sparked his interest would not hesitate to jump in and give his input.
I spoke to Chris last friday -- we talked about the weather finally giving him the opportunity to ride his Harley; which he was very much looking forward to. He told me he has been riding bikes since age 6; and he smiled while he told me his parents forbid him from buying a bike when he was younger but the minute he turned 18 he bought one anyway and had been riding ever since.
My condolences go out to all of his loved ones -- he will definitely be missed by so many here - may he rest in peace.
