Jeff and family, sally and I send our condolences to you and the entire family in the temporary loss of your eternal companion. As Sally and I have had the opportunity to work a lot in the temple here in Louisville our testimony of eternal families has grown. Our understanding of the Lord’s great plan has enlarged. Separation even if temporary is still painful. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I have a sneaking opinion that this is a bittersweet moment for Ann and Kent. At least Kathy is not alone up there.

Jeff, Julie and I would like to express our sincere condolences due to your tragic loss. It was visible and apparent the love you and Kathy shared together. Please know that we are here for you if you need any support or just sometime away from SLC. Tracy & Julie Ann

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Kathy. She was one of the nicest, cheerful, sincere friends I had at Skyline. She would always say hello and had something kind to say to everyone. I'm sorry we lost touch throughout the years, but was thrilled to find out that she served in the SL Temple babtistry. I also worked in the babtistry... it would have been so nice to see her there. My love and prayers go out to her Jeff and all her family. She will be missed.

08.05.2020 The Johansen family lived on Apple Blossom Lane in Holladay. Our family grew up two streets away on Kentucky Avenue. I knew Kathy In grade school at Driggs Elementary, Churchill Junior High and Skyline High. We were in the same Sunday School class at church. I knew she married Jeff Wells, but did not run into her and Jeff until the last few years, at Lions Rec. Center. Kathy and Jeff and the entire extended Johansen family are wonderful, kind and thoughtful. There would be no turmoil or trouble in the world if everyone was like them. Kathy always had a smile on her face walking out of her Zumba class at Lion's and Jeff would always work extra-hard on his stationary bike there. I know Kathy is in paradise with her parents Kent and Ann, because they are the best of the best. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my beautiful 22 year old daughter four years ago, so I know: It hurts so much because you love Kathy so much. I am so sorry for your loss! -Martin Tanner
