SUSAN JARDINE Obituary

Susan C. Sorensen Jardine 1955 ~ 2009 "Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine." ~ Isaiah 43:1 Susan went to be with our Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, December 24, 2009. She died at home after a battle with cancer at age 54. Susan was born in Denver, Colorado on April 30, 1955. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter, who devoted her life to God and her family. Many will remember and miss her exceptional talent for Art. She graduated from Highland High School, and attended Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Susan had a passion and love for reading. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Matthew Struyk, her son, Aaron Call, daughter and son, Elizabeth and Nicholas Jardine, and two grandsons Jacob and Andrew Struyk. Susan is the daughter of Joyce Sorensen who lives in Midvale. Susan will be missed by her sister, Cathy Holmes and her husband, Mark, as well as her brother Mark Sorensen, and his wife, Diane and their children. Susan will join her father, Darrrell Sorensen and her grandparents, Percy and Queena Guildner, who preceded her in death. Please join us in celebrating her life on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sandy (8575 S. 700 E.) at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery. The family extends special thanks to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Alpine Home Care and Hospice for their selfless and exceptional care during her final days. For the many family and friends who have known and loved our special Susan, we will all miss her sweet, loving, gentle spirit -- until we meet again: BFF.

Susan, you will be missed greatly. I'm so glad I was able to talk with you the past two months. You're wonderful advice and words of comfort to me, especially during your illness, was much needed and I'm blessed to call you my friend. I can't wait to be ushered into Heaven so you can show me the beauty of our Lord and Savior and sing praises together with Him. I will be praying for compassion and hope for your family as they go on without you. Love Bry
