Patricia Derrick Packard

1937~2021

Surprise, AZ—Our beautiful mother performed her last pirouette at her home in Surprise, AZ. She was born on January 29, 1937 to Erwin A. & Verna Derrick. She grew up in Salt Lake City, UT. Went to South High School; was a talented dancer, both in ballet and tap! Married Johnny Packard, the love of her life. Were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Friend to all she met.

Patricia is survived by her children, GayLynne Peacock, Shawna Collins (Rod), John Scott Packard (Jolene), Troy Packard (Suzie), Mike Packard (Camille); 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Alden Packard, brother Richard "Dick" Derrick, parents Erwin A. and Verna Derrick, granddaughter, Whitney Packard.

Thanks to Mom's loving caregivers Tammy Watkins, Gaylynne Peacock and Shawna Collins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Butler Hill Ward, 2695 East 7000 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Memorial Holladay~Cottonwood Mortuary.
