Jack, we are so sorry for your loss. I clearly recall our many discussions of Barbara's fibromyalgia and how it limited her activities. Now she is free to enjoy the painless after life she so richly deserves. Please take care of yourself. God speed! John and Kasha Young, San Antonio.

BARBARA WAS A DEAR FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR. SHE WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO SHARE LAUGHTER, TEARS OR WORDS OF PRAYER AND ENCOURAGEMENT. WE LOVED IT WHEN OUR HUSWBANDS TOOK US FOR A DRIVE IN THE HILL COUNTRY IN SEARCH OF THE PERFECT CHICKEN FRIEND STEAK, TO LUNCH OR DINNER, AND TO MOVIES. WE KNEW EACH OTHERS FAMILY AND SHARED MANY TIMES TOGETHER. WE CONTINUED TO SHARE OUR FRIENDSHIP THROUGH PHONE CALLS WHICH WE WILL ALWAYS CHERISH. GOD BLESSES US ALL WITH HER LOVE.

So many sweet and wonderful memories at the Hardage home during my high school days with Amy. Late night movies, sleepovers, dance practices and Mrs. Hardage always having a great meal ready to offer me whenever I was around. So blessed to see her throughout the years and what a beautiful example she and Mr. Hardage have been to all of us of true love, commitment and a Godly marriage. Two of the finest people I have ever known and will cherish in my heart forever. You will be greatly missed sweet lady. Love always, your adopted daughter Melissa

I called her Aunt Barbara, even though she was my cousin. I guess it's a Texas thing. Barbara could do just about anything and make sure you knew you were the most important person in the room. I adored how she doted on her husband, Jack, and her children and absolutely loved her grandchildren. You don't get a family like that without being the kind of wife and mother and grandmother that grows that kind of garden.

I brush the tears from my eyes as I pray for the family and friends she left behind. We'll see Barbara again, but not on this side of heaven. This is my comfort. But my grief is more than I expected. Barbara could surprise you. She still is.

Thank you, Aunt Barbara. Thank you Hardages. Thank you Awbreys and all the leaves on that tree, natural and grafted. I'm so sorry for your loss, but glad we all had her as long as we did.

My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. May you always cherish the memories that you have with your loved one, and remember that God is always there for us like it tells us at 1 Peter 5:6,7. I hope you continue to feel love and support from your family and friends.

Barbara was one of my favorite ladies. When my wife died in 2000, she sent the nicest letter. I will always remember her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. RIP.
