Donna Muslin Obituary

Donna Muslin passed away on November 7, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Walter Muslin, daughter Michelle Lipari, sons Greg and Scott Muslin and grandchildren Ava, Alexa, Jaci, Anton and Kristen. Donna was the youngest of three children and was preceded in death by her sister Bette and brother Bill.
Donna was born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania and moved to San Antonio in 1984, when she took a position as Southwest Regional PR Director for JC Penney. Upon her retirement from JC Penney, she started Muslin & Associates, specializing in fashion event production and consulting. In addition, she was a 25 year member of the UIW Development Board, and was a current board member of CTRC and SWELL, as well as a spokesperson for The American Cancer Society.

Donna's extensive involvement in community service stems from her deep commitment to her church and her love of the Lord. She was a 30 year member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and was active as an elder and served on numerous committees.

I just found out about Donna's passing and am so sorry I wasn't there for her farewell. We did fashion shows together and she was so beautiful and lovely, inside and out. This news is very sad to me. This will be such a painful holiday for her family, may the coolest memories of this wonderful vibrant woman keep you all warm this winter, I am so sorry. One of the brightest stars in my sky has suddenly faded into good memories. My Auntie Donna was a very special lady, always giving of herself in so many ways to so many people. We enjoyed a very loving and close connection ever since I can remember, and I am so thankful that we had the opportunity to share our feelings together on the day before she passed. Although she will be sorely missed, I know that this true believer is now at peace in Heaven. Note that I did not use the word "rest", as she never knew how to do that very well. My Auntie was quite the dynamo, right up to the end of this part of her journey, and I'm sure right into the next. I pray for God's peace and comfort to our family and her many friends.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle and her family. As a colleague who also just recently lost my mother, I find comfort in believing the Lord has guided another beautiful angel home.

Michelle, during this difficult time, I pray you and yours can find the peace and comfort your (mother, grandmother, friend) would wish for you all. She is an angel now watching over all her loved ones.

Donna was a inspiration to many. Her strength, perseverance, love and kindness was amazing. I personally am honored knowing such a beautiful soul.

Donna, as Heaven rejoices with your presence, may your legacy continue to live on here on earth through your family and friends.
See you on the other side~

Dearest Donna, how you will be missed. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have had long conversations with you during the Sept. Women in Communications gathering and then after SA 100 in October - never dreaming you would be gone from us so soon.

You were your wonderful clever, funny, ebullient, insightful self - as always. Great stories, laughs and wisdom - all mixed together and shared with your unique charm.

We parted with me feeling uplifted and regretful that we didn't have more time together that day. Now ... we mourn your loss; almost impossible to really comprehend.

We are all unique, but you were among the "uniquest" women I've ever known - with passion for truth and kindness for all and always, always the spirit of giving.

Beautiful, outside and in; irreplaceable and unforgettable.
Blessings Always.
