Joel Ybarra Obituary
Rev. Joel C. Ybarra III was born on June 4, 1982 in San Antonio, Texas and was called home by the Lord on June 20, 2010 at the age of 28. Joel is survived by his father Rev. Joel C. Ybarra Jr., his mother Gloria G. Ybarra, his sister Vanessa M. Ybarra, his grandfather Joel C. Ybarra Sr. and his grandmother Lucille R. Gonzales. Joel will always be remembered for being God fearing, a Great spiritual soldier, kind, beautiful, humble, wonderful, warm, sweet, funny, respectful, generous, special, had a contagious smile, he was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and great friend. He always put everyone first, loving and caring for others. Joel was a Pastor at La Hermosa Christian Church preaching the gospel and word of God. He was an Angel taken from us all too soon and will be greatly missed by everyone.
Services
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. ~ 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at La Hermosa Christian Church, 452 Moursund with interment following at Mission Burial Park South. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to La Hermosa Christian Church, 452 Moursund, San Antonio, Texas 78221. For personal acknowledgement you may sign the guestbook at www.missionparks.com in the obituary section. Arrangements with:

I knew Joel when we were kids we use to play basketball together and he was always full of life any a very nice friend we will miss you and may God be with you

I didn't have a chance to meet you but have learned that you were not just a loving son, a faithful friend, and a responsible person but most important you were a Child of the Most High God. The love you had for your Savior was seen by many. you endured to the end and ran your race well. I understand how sad your family was when your time on earth was over, I too lost my son. he was 17 and also loved God. He ministered to the youth and was in the music ministry as a keyboard player. We don't understand at times why life is sometimes cut short, but praise God that He knows and understands all things. One day we will meet and praise God together!! Until then we continue to remember the great testimonies left behind by special people like you and my son.

I never really got to know Joel. But i am sadden by his loss. From what I've read in his sister Vanessa post on Facebook he was an amazing guy. Am sorry for the loss of a great guy. "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died, Rather we should thank God that such men lived."

Joel, My time getting to know you was short, but as many people know me I am nosey so with all the questions I asked I feel I knew yuo very well. You left us to quickly and unexpectedly, you are missed, but I am glad I don't have to explain because you know from up above. I miss working with you now the J's of control arnt complete, and yes, Vanessa is still Janessa! Take care and meet my dad up there he is cool as you know what!!

Out Deepest Condolences for our loss. We will miss him dearly, he touched all of us in a special way. He was a great leader and showed me the spiritual way of GOD. He was always there for everyone when we needed him. I will miss him, and his piano playing at church.

My Deepest Condolences to the Ybarra family, I never got to Know him personally, but @ 1 srvc @ La Hermosa church, My brother Leo consistently invited me, until I finally went, & heard him preach & sing, the strongest most beautiful voice I've ever heard, & little that I know that would be the last time I would see him, he offered me HIS Condolences@ my Father's funeral recenty, may He "RIP" & God Bless the Ybarra family, I know how it feels to lose a Loved one.May he Rest in the Glory of God .We will all see each other again. It's unbelievable and shocking to know of the loss of Nono; we know the love he spent in worship and in sharing Gods gifts with others here on earth is now spent in the presence of our Lord.
