Anthony Barasa Obituary

BARASA
Anthony "Tony" Barasa, age 46, of San Antonio passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. He was loved by many for his kind and generous heart and always made himself available to lend a helping hand. When Anthony was not serving the community as a proud member of the SAPD, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a passion for golf and was an avid player. The best birthday gift Anthony ever received was the birth of his precious daughter, Isabella Rose on December 30, 2008. She was the center of his universe. He lived for teaching and explaining the world to her. They were inseparable partners. Anthony and Bella not only had the same birthday but they shared a special bond that she will cherish for the rest of her life. Anthony is survived by his wife, Leticia Barasa; daughter, Isabella Rose Barasa; mother, Elva Moreno; father, Lee Polanco; brothers, Aaron Barasa and Adrain Polanco; sister, Lorraine McCool and husband, Rick; father and mother-in-law, John and Oralia Davila; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Davila and Bertha Davila and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly and we will always have him close to our heart. Visitation will being at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Porter Loring on McCullough.

It was great knowing "Tony" . I met him at an instructors course at San Antonio College in 2009 and then in 2010 we met up again at St. Philips College. I was working at the Campus and Tony would visit and ask where her could study because he was preparing to become a detective. He was a great guy! Rest in peace partner.
