Joe Galo Obituary
Joe M Galo Jr. is free from pain and suffering. He has joined our lord and his parents, Joe and Clara Gallo. Joe was a strong, hardworking father who lived a rich life. He was a great cook, handy man, and the best salesman. He is survived by his wife Alma Avila Galo, daughter Erika Galo, her Fiancé Wesley Drew, stepson Zachary Avila, wife Robin, children Jasper and Sophia, siblings; Clara Hollingsworth and Michael Gallo, father in-law Rogelio Avila, 3 brother in-laws; 3 sister in-laws; 8 nieces and nephews; Joe and Alma have worked side by side for 32 years at Imperial North, they were truly meant to be. His relationship with his daughter was unique, he loved her so much and they truly were best friends. He could make a friend out of anyone, with his spunk, jokes, and hilarious sense of humor. In his younger days he managed Doyle's, loved socializing with law enforcements, and creating memories playing Texas Hold Em' with Tim Duncan and friends, with his infamous poker name Crazy Joe Galo. His love for rock in roll became strong with Elvis Presley. Everyone asked about him when he was away from work, everyone remembers Joe Galo for he was a great man, father, and loving husband.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Fred J. Tips Mausoleum in Mission Burial Park North. A gathering will follow the service before the
burial.

To Joe"s Family my condolences, he was a great guy, good friend and a very good poker player, better than shooting pool. I think in all the years we played pool he may have beat me 10 or 15 times , but he always took my money in card games. and he was a very good handy man and sometimes a good mechanic on his green El Ranchero, but when he got in a bind he would call Sonny or Earnie to help him out. . so many good times with these guys, and to many stories to tell. Again so sorry for the passing of Joe. He"s in a better place now, but I know that I will play cards with him again.

My heart weeps for the loss of a dear friend. My sincere condolences to Alma, Erika, Clara, Michael and the entire family. Joe had a heart of gold and he made everyone laugh with his contagious smile. He had a witty sense of humor and always had a way with people. Many people will have fond memories of him. I know that our memories go as far back as to high school and college days. You were blessed to have been his family. You will always remain close to my heart Alma and Erika. Dear Alma, Erika, Zac, and Norman, we were family for a time and although family changes, the memories and kinship we all shared has never changed. I will treasure Joe's generosity, compassion and wise counsel. Although much time has passed, my love for each of you has remained strong.
