Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and tia, passed away on January 9th 2026 at the age of 80. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, to parents Robert and Sarah Duarte, July 5th 1945. She was number 7 of 12 children with her parents and 5 siblings preceding her in death.

Chickie’s greatest joy was her family, her legacy lives through her 5 children Frances, Tina (Willie), Lorraine, Arthur and Angela (Louie). Her family grew to include her 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Each one cherished deeply by Chickie.

Chickie enjoyed her life to the fullest. As the matriarch she instilled traditions and family values. When she retired from the City of Phoenix, she enjoyed traveling, weekly visits to the casino and spending time at her home.

She had a competitive side. Activities she enjoyed through her years were Softball, Bowling, Pool and Poker. Cooking was one of her favorite activities. Everyone will attest that she was a great cook and we will miss those moments with her.

Chickie will be deeply missed and treasured by her family and friends.
