Obituary published on Legacy.com by Messinger Mortuaries- Indian School Mortuary on Mar. 26, 2026.
Mrs. Janice Mae Johnson (née Bahneman), aged 92, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on September 25, 1933, in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Janice embraced a long and fulfilling life full of love, adventure, learning and family. Over her years she enjoyed living in Minnesota, Colorado & Arizona, spent much time in the mountains, travelled extensively, gardened, golfed, swam, did & taught ceramics, painted, cooked, watched movies, read, celebrated holidays with enthusiasm, took care of many dogs and worked hard, for awhile as a cosmetologist.

Janice is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years, William "Tuck" Johnson, and his children: Terri (& Ron) Headley of Kearney, Nebraska; Toni Johnson of Kona, Hawaii; Traci (& Brad) Feffer of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; Tom Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska; Teena Delaney (& Paul Vendredi) of Phoenix, Arizona; and Tammy (& Jeff) Sidles of Scottsdale, Arizona; and their children. She is also lovingly remembered by her daughters Linda Steele of Sun City, Arizona, and Jody Deschenes of Ft. Collins, Colorado. Janice was predeceased by her mother Mae Lindberg, sister Jeanne Brandt, and sons Tony Bendorf, Bill Bendorf, and Richard Bendorf.

She brought love and laughter to those around her and will be greatly missed. May memories of her lively spirit bring comfort to all who knew her. A Memorial Gathering for Janice will be held on April 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 19644 N. 7th Ave., Phoenix, AZ, 85027, in the side chapel, following 9am mass.
