Catherine Lafuente Obituary

Catherine "Cathie" T. Lafuente I often think of you, When you were very small. You left your fingerprints, On almost every wall. Back when you were growing up, They were such happy years. How you would smile and make up games, I remember through the tears. Some day we will be together, In heaven up above. But for now my darling girl, I send you all my love. Catherine T. Lafuente 42, was born in Hereford, Texas in March 1975 and passed away peacefully on December 26, 2017. Cathie lived in many states in her early years: Texas, Connecticut, Idaho, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Minnesota, Arizona, Colorado, and California. Cathie's family settled on the Central Coast when Cathie was still in Grade School. She attended Margaret Harloe Elementary School in Arroyo Grande, Judkins Jr. High School in Pismo Beach and graduated with the Class of 1993 of Arroyo Grande High School. Due to her life experience in so many places and getting to know many different people of different backgrounds, Cathie made many lifelong friends. At the time of her death, Cathie was Office Manager for Garrett Orthodontics, where she cherished her work and associates. Cathie is survived by her parents: Enrique "Henry" and Belia "Betty" Lafuente of Oceano; her brother, Alvino and his wife Sabrina of Paso Robles and their children: Cody Ray, Kadence Leigh, McKinley Marie, Brynlynn Rose and Addison Mae; and her life partner, Ryan Mroczkowski and his children: Riley, Hailey and Hunter Mrockowski. Viewing will take place from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, January 8, 2018, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel in Grover Beach. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Arroyo Grande. A reception in the Parish Hall will follow immediately after the Mass.

To my only sister-in-law, my husband's sissy, my kids fun auntie-you are already so missed. Our hearts are broken. You brought such light. I will never forget your smile, your laugh. I'm thankful we had you here, that you and your mom got to create so many more happy memories. That you found your great love and became a mom. You are so very loved and will be missed.
