I was privileged to take two organic chemistry classes from Tina. She was a most extraordinary teacher, making a complex subject enjoyable and easy to understand. I also considered her a friend and enjoyed a hug when we met on campus. Condolences to her beautiful family.

Tina and I worked together, especially on curriculum issues. She was tenacious in her dedication to her students. We shared one particular “success”: when we joined the faculty it was the Department of Chemistry. Thanks to our cooperative effort, it is now the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Love and Sympathy to the entire Bailey clan. Ralph Jacobson, emeritus

I was lucky to have Tina for a chemistry lab, and even though she was a model of excellent teaching (organized, punctual, knowledgeable and inspiring high standards), what stands out most is how she made me feel. That occasional warm smile and welcoming look instantly gave me comfort and confidence.

I am saddened to hear of Tina's passing. She was a remarkable woman. We served on the Community Counseling Center board together. She was key to our success in acquiring and remodeling the first permanent home of the agency. She was a genuine pleasure to work with, warm, smart and knowledgeable. A force of nature.

Phil & Family,
We were so saddened to hear of Tina's passing! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We have many fond memories of Tina's teaching Chemistry at PRHS (Class of '71) and at Cal Poly....even our daughters had one or both of you. We remember helping you to move into an apt. in SLO and into your current home...what fun! She was the BEST Teacher and a true inspiration to many!
May God give you comfort and peace as you mourn her loss. We were blessed to call her teacher and friend.
Lovingly,

We offer our deepest sympathy to Phil and family. Christina was such a bright and driven woman - in all areas of life. You were a great husband and wife team to accomplish so much together. Yet individually, each of you was so gifted. I pray that the love your family has so freely shared with others will surround you with wonderful memories.

Tina was always an inspiration to me at Cal Poly! She had such joy and dedication to the students. I am sure she had to forgive the many ways that she was oppressed as a woman in Science. I only hope I can be at least half the positive influence she was! Blessings to Phil and their family as you adjust to life without her presence on earth.

I am one of the Paso Robles high school students who was inspired and driven toward higher expectations by Tina. Moments from her chemistry class were remembered and utilized into my professional life. The members of the Class of '71 will not forget her. She was one of the best at Paso High and a true teacher; always striving to help and inspire. I hope that Phil and your family can rest more easily knowing that Tina will live on memory and that her pain is over.

This is devastating news. For many years, the Baileys were like second parents to me, a second family where I always felt welcome, supported, and loved and Tina was a huge part of that. My deepest condolences to Phil, Karl, Jen, Kristi, and Michael. Sending love and pray you find comfort in your memories of a remarkable woman.

I'm going to really miss Tina a lot! Getting to share about our experience in Latin class at catholic schools and the love she showed us in the time we've gotten to spend together. I'm so sad to hear she's gone. I love her a lot and i'm going to miss her. She will get to meet up with my mom in heaven and i know they'll be glad to see each other from up above. Dr Bailey, we are always here for you throughout this time like how you were there for us when we lost our mom. May she rest in Peace!
