Siobhan Reynolds Obituary

Siobhan Reynolds 1961-2011 It is with great sadness and shock that Siobhan Reynolds died in a plane crash in Columbus, Ohio, on December 24, 2011. She was 50 years old. Her fiancé, Kevin Byers, and his mother, Eudora Byers, were also killed. Siobhan was born in Santa Monica, California, and attended Crossroads School and Palisades High School in the Los Angeles area. She graduated as Valedictorian from Pitzer College in Claremont, California. She also earned a master's degree from St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, along with a master's degree from The New School of Social Research, New York. She resided in the Santa Fe area for many years, and recently relocated to Logan, Ohio, to live with Kevin, an attorney who was from the Columbus area. She was the founder of the non-profit organization Pain Relief Network, an advocacy group that supported chronic pain patients and the doctors who treated them function without interference from the DEA and the Justice Department. She worked tirelessly to help protect them from prosecution. She traveled extensively to testify on their behalf, and incurred the wrath of several law enforcement and government agencies, which ultimately led the Pain Relief Network to shut down. Predeceased by her husband Sean Greenwood, father of their son, and her father John J. Reynolds, she leaves behind her son Ronan Greenwood, mother Elaine Favill of Santa Fe, NM, her sister Clare Reynolds Seche of Windsor, CA, brother John Reynolds of Berkeley, CA, and brother Henry (Monica) of Santa Monica, CA. She was the cool aunt to Emma, Michael, and Rachel Seche of Windsor, CA, and Sarah Reynolds of Berkeley, CA., and leaves behind many cousins, uncles, aunts, friends, loved ones and supporters. Future services are pending.

You gave me hope. We were just getting to know each other when you passed. I want you to know I continue to advocate personally and publically to end the abuse of chronic pain patients.

I am so sorry to just learn of Siobhan's passing. She was such a wonderful advocate for those of us in chronic pain. Although I did not know her personally, I truly feel the loss of this great woman.

My thoughts and prayers for her family.

Siobhan, old friend. You have been missed for the past three months, and you will continue to be missed for the rest of my life. With whom will I share the funny moments, the sad moments, the inspired moments, the tragic moments? I can still hear your laugh--hopefully, I will always be able to hear it.. I love you dear friend.
