Antonio Ramos Reyes Jr., 64, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 16, 2021.
Antonio was known by most as Tony and was born on May 19, 1957 in Obando, Philippines to Antonio Sr. and Filotea Reyes. He was the fourth of nine children. He was raised in the Philippines and earned a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Mapua University. He worked for General Motors designing automobiles. He married the love of his life, Susie and they had two children in the Philippines. At age 28, Tony moved his family to Santa Maria, CA and worked as a transmission mechanic for Ford. In Santa Maria, he raised his three children whom love him deeply. Tony was a great man of God and his life truly exemplified being the hands and feet of Christ. He was involved with his church as a children's church pastor, led home Bible studies, and also led services at all the local nursing homes. He was patient, kind, caring, understanding, and had a great sense of humor. He was an avid Golden State Warriors fan and was a loving family man. He shared God's love and goodness to all he encountered. His favorite Bible verse was Proverbs 3:5-6 which says trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.
Tony leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Susie Reyes; daughter Mary Kaye Llarena and her husband Reyver; son Mark Reyes and his wife Cristi; son Timothy Joshua Reyes; granddaughters Rayela Llarena, Riley Reyes, Paige Reyes, and grandson, Spencer Anthony Reyes; siblings Augusto Reyes and his wife Emily; Romy Reyes and his wife Judy; Filotea Tan and her husband Manuel; Arthur Reyes; Roberto Reyes; Antoinette Agustin and her husband Felipe; Fernando Reyes and his wife Edith; Divinia Dela Cruz and her husband Manuel; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents.
Tony's family will hold a viewing on Tuesday, December 28th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 29th at 10:00 am in the chapel of Dudley Hoffman Mortuary. A reception will follow to be announced at the service.
