Sharon Lynn Shaw

March 11, 1947 – May 20, 2024

Sharon Lynn Shaw passed away peacefully at her home on May 20, 2024. She was 77 years old.

Sharon was born at Sisters' Hospital in Santa Maria on March 11, 1947, to Lynn & Juanita Brown (Ramos). Sharon grew up in Sisquoc and Orcutt, and attended Blochman and St. Mary's schools. She went on to graduate from Ernest Righetti High School in 1965.

Sharon began her first job with the General Telephone Co. after high school. She then met the love of her life, Terry Shaw, whom she wed on December 16, 1967, in Las Vegas. Sharon and Terry welcomed their son, Jon, in 1968 and twin girls, Jennifer and Stacy, in 1978. Sharon spent 31 years in the grocery business and retired from Albertsons in 2011. From there, she had the opportunity to focus on her grandkids, Anthony and Ayla. Nothing meant more to Sharon than family.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Juanita Brown, in-laws, Charles and Alice Shaw; brothers, Jimmy Goodchild and Danny Brown. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Terry Shaw; children, Jon, Stacy Coppo (Joey), Jennifer Shaw and Lesha Goodchild; grandchildren, Anthony and Ayla Coppo, and Brandon and Ryan Ashbaugh; siblings Mike Brown, Pat Brown (Beverly), Karen Deparini (Joe); sister-in-law, Linda Bonetto (Gene); numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Services will be held at Dudley Hoffman Mortuary on Tuesday, June 4th, at 10:30am. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at The Ontiveros Ranch.

The Shaw family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the care provided by Dignity Health Hospice, and the outpouring of love and support from family and friends.

I'm so sorry to see that Sharon has passed. She and husband, Terry were our wonderful neighbors back in the 60's on Via Alta when the town was considerably smaller. Sharon was a wonderful person. May she rest in peace.

My deepest Condolences to The Shaw family. I met Terry many years before having the privilege of meeting and working with both of them. Sharon was such a wonderful person. I'm grateful to have known her. Rest in peace.

Sharon trained me at Luckys almost 30 years ago. It was my first job and she instilled in me a work ethic to do and be my best. To this day I mention her when I train new Trader Joe´s crew members on how to bag. I will always remember her as someone who was kind, expected the best from others, and knew how to make work fun. My condolences to the Shaw family.

My heart goes out to each and every one of you. I have so many wonderful memories of Sharon back to our first days at Lucky´s. We had many laughs as we referred to ourselves as speedy maids when we prepared for Gemco to open .
Sharon bringing the girls over to get Mary Kay make overs , Terry having a fit about how much she spent .
The many parties she hosted at their home for Lucky employees.
The time she spent planning the lucky associates parties as she always was the life of the party and the best MC.
Sharon was always the mama bear there for who ever needed an ear to listen . She had a gift of making you feel special . Her laughter was contagious and oh just so fun to be around .
I last saw Sharon at her brother Danny´s celebration of life , she was warm and friendly as always . It´s a rare thing when you have a friend that time away does not make you feel uncomfortable.
To Sharon´s family , I hope you find some comfort in knowing how your wife , sister , mother touched so many who were blessed to know
her .
