I first met Steve through his brother Mike, who was my best friend in high school. The Wells owned Santa Maria Motor Parts for many years and gave me my first real job. I owe them a lot. Steve was such a great person to work with as well as the other members of the family. We would work hard but there was always a lot of time for great laughs. He had such a great, sarcastic sense of humor. Steve always made things better for everyone around him. He had a great passion for sports and we talked about football for hours. Later on in life, I would see him at the Rice Ranch Dog Park and we would catch up on old times. Monica, you married a great guy and you're a special person also. We are all sorry for your loss.

The Wells family was a big part of the world I grew up in, and Steve was right there in the middle of it. I´m grateful for those years and for the role he played in them. Planting this tree is my way of honoring his life and the impact he had on all of us.
