Blain and Brian:
Over the last 18 years we hope and pray your hearts have healed with the passing of Billy. As you know, Billy was our son's roommate at Belmont University. It took Luke much time for his heart to heal with the loss of Billy. Luke always speaks highly of Billy's family. We are now in Pooler, GA and Luke and his family are in Milledgeville, GA. May the Lord Bless your family and you!

Dear Twibell and Rittiner families,

I just found out this am of Billy's accident and passing. The shock and heart ache are overwhelming. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to take care of that super sweet little boy in 1988-89. By reading about Billy as a young man I see he continued to lighten peoples hearts as he did as a child. I met so many of you that year and it is easy to see where he got it from. All of you! My heartfelt sympathies to each one of you. Gina (Kinkaid) Lyon

Dear Blaine and Brian, Billy is still very much in our thoughts. I hope if you come up to New Jersey we can see you. Dewey and Avery were devastated too. Sometimes I make the stupid assumption that people will be here forever. We are so sorry. Pam and Rob Klurfield

I went to school with Billy at harding township, but I never really knew him all that well back then because I left after 5th grade. All of the sudden, years later (this spring) he randomly contacted me and it turned out that we were both in Nashville, so finally we met up one night with Ari Borinski and some other kids from Vanderbilt. I talked to him that night for a really long time. I can honestly say that Billy is one of the nicest guys I have ever met in my life, and I'm still hoping this isn't real. we were supposed to meet up in the city this summer. I have never been treated with so much outright respect and genuine interest upon meeting a guy, so I know that I will always remember him and his smile. I don't even know what to say, I am so sorry. I wish Billy and I had re-connected sooner so I could have known him better. But all I needed was one night to see how awesome and incredible he was and is. So please at least just know that besides all of this pain, you are the luckiest family in the world for all of your time with him and your memories... because I have only really met him once, and I could already tell, just in that one night that he was something different. And I won't ever forget that. Mr. and Mrs. Twibell, you are in my thoughts.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Billy this year in Nashville, and i got to play drums in a band with him. No matter what, Billy could always make me laugh. He was a very hard worker, and was a great guy/bass player. He will truly be missed. . .
