Tybee has lost one of her greatest treasures.

Sally was a true inspiration to me, as a budding artist growing up on Tybee, and as a professional artist today. I loved Sally, as did the entire artist community . She was an amazing Artist, as wel1 as a humble, and genuinely "real" down to earth person.

I've said many times, 'Nobody does dunes like Sally'. To view one of her paintings, is to be swept away into a state of peace and serenity... She, and her beautiful Art, will forever live in our hearts.

Love and Condolences,

I was sorry to hear about your Mom. I have fond memories of going to her house in the early seventies when all of you were young. She was a wonderful artist (I only regret that I never got one of her paintings as she could make a canvas come to life) and her deviled crab was great. Remember several times catching the crabs behind her house, cooking them and then her making the deviled crabs using the shells to put them on. She will be greatly missed by each of you and she was a treasure to Tybee Island and to the whole coastal area.
My sons are your cousins - Bart Smith and the late Brad Smith. Love to each of you.

my deepest condolences to the family. Mrs. Bostwick played a huge part in my childhood memories. So many times we would get run out of "the pool room", cas it was just too pretty outside. It was awesome being able to grow up living by her. She was a wonderful person and i am so sorry for your loss.

As a child I stayed summers w/ my Aunt on Tybee for for the first 20 years of my life and knew of Ms. Bostwick's work. Later, I was able to purchase a seascape painted by Sally Bostwick and it captures one of the beautiful scenes I came to love as a child. She brought such beauty capturing our beloved GA coastline to the canvas. The family should be grateful for the legacy she left behind.

Sorry to hear of Sally's death. We played together growing up in Gordonston and she was an all American pig-tailed girl who loved riding. We studied private art classes under Mrs. Maude Gould and Sally led and inspired the small class. I knew her parents well and her grandfather. As the world is diminished wihout her Grandfather Cone Smith, her parents Sally Smith and Jimmy Floyd so it is without her. My sympathy to the family.
Sincerely,

Frank & Jamie Schuman, Sr.
