Beth and Major & family,
Please accept my sincere sympathy in your loss. Mrs. Frankie was a lovely lady. She was very active in our community. I recall when she visited our classroom to explain as a Postmaster how the postal system worked when we were in grade school, Beth. Ironically, by coincidence, she will be in an old photo in the Effingham Herald in the Echoes column, tomorrow, dressed in costume at a function of the Georgia Salzburger Society. May God be with you.

Beth, Major, and family,
There are so many wonderful memories that I have of Aunt Frankie and an earlier life of visiting Stillwell. You are all in my prayers as you grieve, but also as you recall so many wonderful years.

Beth, Major, and family members,
I was sorry to hear of your mother's death, but what a grand lady she was and who lived a long and full life! My last time seeing and talking with her was back on Sept. 1,2007 at the Gnann dinner at the Gnann pond when my sister Mary and I were down to read the biography of our mother Elizabeth Gnann Long, daughter or Alvin and Lena Gnann.
May God bless and comfort all of you at this difficult time of loss and may your many fond memories of her sustain you in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
James Gnann Long

Dear Beth and family,
As I learned of Mrs. Frankie's passing this morning, I recalled such fond and fun memories of times past. I enjoyed walking in the gardens with Mr. Cecil and your mom, working as a Pink Lady on Mondays styling the hair of the residents there, and enjoying Christmas goodies that Frankie had prepared. We spent time in wonderful conversation about things such as making kraut and her many years as the Post Mistress in Stillwell. She was such beautiful person and shared her love for her family and her community openly. As you prepare to honor and celebrate her life may you be comforted by such stories and how much she meant to those who were blessed in knowing her.

Dear Beth and family,
As I learned of Mrs. Frankie's passing this morning, I began to reflect on all the fond memories and fun times I shared with her. Our days as Pink Ladies, spending time at the house picking up sticks in the gardens when your dad was alive and even after his passing, and sampling the wonderful baked good she made, and talking about making kraut and old time days of her work as the Post Mistress in Stillwell. What a beautiful lady! I will celebrate her life during the days ahead and pray that you are comforted by all the stories and memories other share with you.
