Kevin Blaesing Obituary

Kevin M. Blaesing - POOLER - Kevin M. Blaesing, 42, of Pooler, Georgia, formerly of Muscatine, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013. Family and friends will celebrate Kevin's life with a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Baker home located at 9962 Whitefield Ave. Savannah, Georgia, 31406. Sunday, May 5, 2013, at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kevin Blaesing Memorial Fund - https://gateway.frontrunnerpro.com/book-of-memories/1548470/Blaesing-Kevin/donation.php Kevin was born January 23, 1971, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Michael Blaesing and Teri Detrick. A 1989 graduate of Muscatine High School, Kevin joined the military and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He showed true bravery in his fight for equality in the military, working closely with the S.L.D.N/Outserve. Kevin enjoyed the Savannah area where he often spent his time boating and kayaking on the local waters. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and was an avid traveler. Kevin was a regional manager for TMX Finance and had a great relationship with colleagues and formed many close friendships. Kevin is survived by his parents, Teri Detrick and Mike Blaesing, (Terry Blaesing, step-mother); brother, Barry Blaesing, brother, Greg Blaesing (Salli Blaesing) all of Muscatine, Iowa. A sister, Lisa Blaesing-LaRue (Brian LaRue) of DeForest WI; and nieces and nephews, Katie LaRue, Rachel LaRue, Jack LaRue, Kelsie Blaesing, Britt Blaesing, Morgan Blaesing, Megan Blaesing, and Nolan Blaesing, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends that he met throughout his life journey. Kevin was preceded in death by his step-father Gene Detrick, and his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents. Geo. M. Not a finer man have I met. His Cloth was made from Honesty, Bravery and Integrity which was stitched together with treads of great expectations of equality and respect for all people.

He stood fast and strong in adversity, yet silent and humble on his own praise.
