While employed by the Smithsonian, I lived in Arequipa, Peru and knew both Dick and Peggy (both single at the time 1964-65). They were a perfect couple even then, and Dick, quite a bit older that the rest of us, had serious stature as a veteran and a trained Engineer who really did design and build bridges - something way above the average college-grad of the time. God Bless both Dick and Peggy and condolences to all their family members.
