Stan Brewer

Stanley L. Brewer, 85, of Kent, WA, died on April 27, 2014, in Mesa AZ. He was born December 21, 1928 in Caldwell, ID, moving to WA as a toddler, residing in Georgetown and South Park. He graduated from Cleveland High School in 1947 and served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean conflict. Stan met his wife of 60+ years, Marialee Parisio, in the late 1940s at the Redondo Skating Rink. They married on August 1, 1953. Stan's first job during high school was that of "proprietor" of the "newspaper corners" at Boeing Plant II during WWII. He worked in property management until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the American Legion, a Charter and Life member of the BPOE Burien Lodge and a member of the Museum of Flight. As a teen Stan had horses and in later years raised registered Quarter horses on their acreage east of Kent. He enjoyed their truck and camper, traveling and their place in AZ. Stan cherished his many friends and loved to socialize and entertain. He is survived by his wife, Marialee, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service will be held on August 1st, 2014, at 11:30 am at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St, Kent WA, 98042. In lieu of flowers, please make remembrances to a favorite charity or the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
