The news of Kooch's death is so sad. To think of someone so full of life passing on is stunning. I had the pleasure of working with Kooch at the Hutch and she was truly a gem. Upbeat and positive with that fabulous smile and such a sincere heart. My condolences to her family and friends. May you find comfort in knowing that her love of life had a far reaching impact on many. I was sorry to miss her life celebration on SUnday as I only heard of this today (Tuesday).

Kooch was so kind as to visit my dying husband last August, bringing some munchies and her exuberance to one summer afternoon in our home. I will remember her for that, even as I hardly knew her.

I am not very good with the computer but will do my best. I feel so bad, not only that you left us too soon but so suddenly. I remember the fun we all had in Las Vegas, even your grandma was there. Rest in peace,Jan

Jan, How shocked and sad I am to hear of your passing. You were such a dear friend and college roommate. What great memories I have of you. My heart goes out to your family. My only regret is that we didn't keep in closer contact over the years, but you will always be a part of who I am today, and in my heart forever. I love you. Jeanne B.

Jan, you're already terribly missed. When I told little Henrik that you've died, he said "that's really sad, but she sure must be having fun in Heaven now!" Children have such a unique perspective. I hope you're having fun, Jan, but we'll indeed all miss you dearly.

Such sadness for the Kikuchi/Henshaw families. To the point of being nearly unbearable. Jan, we will miss you so. Holidays will come-and-go, but never be quite the same again. Your smile and exuberance for life were so suddenly ended; may you rest peacefully with your dear parents.

I was just getting to know you and will miss our skating and costume emails. I hurt deeply for your friends and family who have lost such a wonder as you.
