Patricia Stauch Sias

Age 93, Born October 9, 1924 in Detroit Michigan, passed away April 5, 2018 in Seattle WA.

Patty graduated from Scripps College in CA with a BA in Art. After college she married Tom Sias in 1946 and moved from San Francisco to Tacoma. She received her MA from the University of Puget Sound in Art History. Patty was for years, an avid volunteer in several organizations and the Junior League of Tacoma. She went on to become the first Historical Preservation Officer for Tacoma. After retirement, Patty moved to Seattle and travelled the world following her keen interest in Anthropology. She was very intelligent and always involved and committed to her community.

Patty is survived by her daughters Alexandra Sefton (Charles), Caroline Sias and three granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas C. Sias. A memorial will be held August 2018. Please contact Caroline at [email protected] for more information.
