Paul Dwight Hall

Paul Hall Obituary

Paul Dwight HALL Reverend Dwight Hall said good-bye to his family and entered into heaven on January 4, 2005, through a brilliant pink winter sky. Born on June 27, 1923, to Leslie and Gladice Hall in a parsonage in Big Lake, Minnesota, he studied theology at St. Paul Bible College and Seattle Pacific College, and was an ordained pastor with the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church for 40 years. He was a contributing author for several publications, including the Alliance Life and Have A Good Day. A talented musician, he composed many published hymns. His personality always filled the room, and his constant good humor and wit brightened many occasions with family, friends, and strangers. His final home on earth was Lynnwood, and he enjoyed playing Scrabble, walks along the Edmonds waterfront, and good Chinese food. He attended the North Seattle Alliance Church and most recently the Alderwood Community Church. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years Hope Berry Hall, and sister Dorothy Carr of Salem, Oregon. Survived by his sister Carolyn Ray of Lebanon, Oregon; four children, Kathie Irwin of Everett, Michael Hall of Seattle, Torrey Hall of Minnesota, and Peter Hall of Camano Island, as well as nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. We will miss this kind and great man, but we find comfort in knowing that he is in all his glory, continuing to pray for us all, and dreaming up ways to make the angels giggle. Services at the Alderwood Community Church in Lynnwood, Saturday, January 8, at 1:00 p.m. Private viewing at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home from noon Friday and prior to Memorial Service. Remembrances to Hospice of Snohomish County, North Seattle Alliance Church, or Alderwood Community Church.
