I am so saddened to hear the sad news
about Erika. I have been thinking of her
as I knew her: a wonderful child, friend and student at Sunset Elementary School. She brought sunshine and happiness everytime she came into the classroom; she loved the Spanish childrens' songs I taught the children. I remember how patiently she waited for her mother as she volunteered much time and energy to the PTA at Sunset; during some of those times she came to my room to sing and be happy. I will always remember her fondly; I will pray for God's comfort and sustaining love for all those who suffer this loss, especially the parents, Justin, and family. God Bless You.

I was overwhelmed by the news of Erika's passing, but am comforted to see how many others recognize the amazing traits that she possessed. Erika was kind, intelligent, funny, generous to a fault, and driven. She was my friend, my running-guru and mentor. It's people like her that make me look forward to what tomorrow will bring. To the Myers: Know that my thoughts are with you.

I knew Erika from Spanish class at Interlake. She was always such a happy person who truly would have done big things. It really hits me hard that she has passed away. I just want her family to know that I am thinking of them even though I never had the chance to meet them.

I met Erika in 7th grade when we she started palying soccer with me on a team. She was the best defender that a Goal keeper could ever have. She was a young woman who always had a optimistice mind, a way of looking at things in the best way possible, and always pushed others to work hard, run and succeed at their best. I also ran crosscountry, did track and we would hang out here and their, and we had some wodnerful times. Erika thanks for all your advie that you gave me, and thank you for always being their for me through ggod times and bad times. Every time I run or pass by Interlake High, I will remeber you forever. Please take care whereever you are, and I know that you will always be in my heart.

Mrs. Myers,
I was saddened to learn about Erika's passing. She was truly a very special student that stood in my mind among the many that have gone through the Spanish Immersion Program at Sunset. She loved the language and was determined to take advantage of every opportunity to use it. Even in this time of sorrow, your hearts must know that memories will always endure, and that bonds of love can never be broken.
My sincere sympathy,

I have known Erika as friend, teammate, and coworker and she was nothing short of amazing at each. Erika acheived so much more than most people do in their time here on earth. She was a positive influence on so many peoples' lives, including my own. I will always remember her as being a great motivator for my own success; quoting her, "I can, I will, I AM".

I feel truly blessed to have known Erika during her high school years. She touched many lives with her gracious spirit, influencing us most profoundly through her kindness and love, and focusing on the beautiful and positive things in people and in life. I can't imagine the depth of sadness you feel with her loss; I can only pray that in time, some healing may come to your family. The world is not a darker place since she has left it; it is a brighter place for her having been here.
