Dear Gina and Larry,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a wonderful woman. She was always there for us as kids. Taking us to school on rainy days, making sure I received candy (all full size bars) when I wasn't able to go trick-r-treating due to strep throat. I will always remember her as a caring, loving person. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families.
Love,
Kelly Jonasson (Stratton)

Dear Gina, Larry and family,
Rose will be greatly missed. At a recent had dinner at the restaurant and we were told she was still coming in! What an amazing woman and mother. Having grown up with Gina as a "Kensmoe family member" we got to enoy the Louie family. My work career started at the restaurant and I still love the Almond Fried Chicken the best!. We will miss you Rose!

Dear Louie Family,
Rose was such a wonderful lady with a great sense of humor and a wonderful outlook on life. She loved and appreciated her family the most. I got to know Rose because her son's family and my family are long time family friends and I remember as a child going to the resturant and being able to goof around but there would always be Rose greeting us with such a warm smile. We will miss you Rose and I know your legacy will continue on through your family.
It was a very lovely service and I would like to thank the family for allowing my family to be part of it.
Blessings to all of you during this time.

Dear Larry and Gina,
Having the opportunity to work at Louies Restaurant in Ballard during my high school years are memories I will always remember. Rose was such a wonderful example for all of us working in the dining rooms. Rose taught all of us the importance of food presentation and how to take care of the customers. Both of you are so lucky to have has Rose in your lives for so long.
Kindest regards,

Rose was my husband Greg's aunt. She was such a classy lady, so generous and giving. Rose was the matriarch of the Louie family and the glue that held the family together for many years. Greg, Nick, Jordan, and I will miss her!

I've known of Rose most of my life. I grew up just down 85th from the original George Louies restaurant, and in recent years taught WSLCB MAST classes for the staff at Louies in Ballard. Rose was always at the classes, and always made sure everyone was fed after the class. At the end of the last class, I asked her why she hadn't retired & her response was "what would I do then, sit around and watch TV?" Her work ethic should be an inspiration to all. She will surely be missed!

Celebrating a long life filled with opportunities and challenges, home and travel, variety and persistence, family and loss, joy and sadness, health and illness--a life lived--and now a soul at peace. She was a spunky Chinese lady. I'm glad my path crossed hers.
