Nancy Angela Wilson March 25, 1947 – February 24, 2026

Nancy Angela Wilson, 78, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026.

Born to Frank and Olympia Lombardi, Nancy was a proud graduate of Wayne State University and devoted the majority of her career to law enforcement. In the 1980s, she served as one of the few female police officers in Detroit, breaking social norms with strength and determination. She later continued her work in Phoenix, Arizona, as a detective and victim advocate, dedicating her life to protecting and supporting others.

On February 5, 1982, she married Kim, her partner in adventure and the love of her life. Together they raised their son, Kevin, who was the center of her world.

Nancy was sassy, strong-willed, and outspoken, always guided by a solid heart and good intentions. She loved gardening, beading meaningful bracelets for family and friends, cooking treasured Italian recipes, and reading everything from mystery novels to the Arizona Republic and People Magazine. She had a gift for storytelling and frequently clipped favorite newspaper strips to mail to Kevin, sharing laughter in thoughtful ways.

She delighted in her collection of pig figurines-a playful tribute to her police career-and embraced every holiday with enthusiasm, especially Christmas, when she proudly displayed her cherished Snowy Village heirlooms. A recent trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula to celebrate Christmas and visit places meaningful to Kim was among her most treasured memories.

Nancy adored her dogs, Roxy and Riley, loved her Chandler home, and was a beloved presence at Seattle Espresso and among her neighbors.

She is survived by her son, Kevin, her Goddaughter, Jessica and cousins in Michigan, Florida, and Maryland. Nancy leaves behind a legacy of service, humor, resilience, and enduring love.
