Luke (Albert) Nawrocki
July 9, 2023
My name is Albert Nawrocki and Paul was my childhood friend. We attended Our Lady of Czestochowa School in South Brooklyn. I shared my first and only cigarette with him near Greenwood Cemetery which was a stone´s throw from his home where he lived with his mom dad and sister. It´s funny how people come in and out of your life and how you remember some from time to time and wonder how they are doing. I remember that Paul always had what I considered older men´s shoes when we were kids, particularly a pair of wing tip lace ups that I always admired and kidded him about. I am so sad to know that he is gone but happy that he must have lived such a fulfilling and happy life. I wish he were able to answer this and maybe we could have reconnected at this late stage of life. I became a Franciscan brother but left the religious life in 1992. Since I´ve been a teacher and principal in the New York area. I´m going to say a prayer for him as soon as I finish this long message and pray that I see him again in the next life. He was a special childhood friend and I will always cherish my memories of our friendship.

Paul and I graduated from Embry-Riddle; we both went through pilot training (ATC) at Craig AFB, located in Selma, Alabama. We both served our first assigned duty as copilots on the KC-135, at Plattsburgh AFB, New York.
Paul was a good friend and a very solid pilot. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear that Paul has left us. We both graduated in '71 and followed similar career paths via the Air Force and Airlines. At ERAI/ERAU we were in many classes together. He was easily recognizable wearing his Aviator glasses. Great guy. Seeing his name on the list of college classmates that have past saddens me and makes me realize that a greater effort must be made to reach out to others. I am sure if there was an easy way to maintain contact we would have been close friends. Rest in Peace, Paul. You are remembered well.

Not sure why Paul was on my heart tonight after so many years, other than God, so I looked him up. I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad (69 yrs) 1 month before your beloved Paul. Your (and our) Paul was a good man. I met with him once a week as an as employee about 15 years ago. What a blessed -- and blessing -- was Paul Majer. God be with you all. - Stacy Larson, former AS employee
