Sally Adams Macdonald Hepler

November 13, 1927-January 30, 2018

Born to Ethel and Hector Macdonald, Sally was raised in Spokane Washington. She spent her winters skating the frozen ponds of Manito Park and her summers at her family cabin on Loon Lake. Here she learned to sail eventually becoming a counselor at Camp Sway Locken. One of her favorite memories was the summer visits of her beloved grandfather, William Macdonald. He would read Longfellow, Wordsworth, and Robbie Barns to Sally and her sister, Patty instilling a lifelong love and reverence for literature and nature. Sally attended St. Paul's Girls School and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School. She continued on to the University of Washington where she affiliated with Delta Delta Delta Sorority and graduated with a degree in Education. In 1950 Sally married her husband Andrew K. Hepler. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage and raised four children. She was active in Sand Point Country Club and had "2" Holes in One! Sally and Andy enjoyed travels to the UK, Europe and of course Mariners Spring Training. Sally had a delicious sense of humor and abundant wit. She was an avid hiker leaving no trail in the Cascades and Mount Rainier undiscovered. She was a long time member of Minnie Forstman Kirk Children's Hospital Guild. Sally will be greatly missed by all that had the good fortune to cross her path. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Andrew K. Hepler, sons John, William, Richard (Molly) and daughter Andrea. She is also survived by four grandchildren Cameron, Charlie, Madeline (Luke) and William Hepler Jr.; also survived by sister Ethel Patricia Flora Macdonald of London, England.

You have passed on many family traditions and left us with so many wonderful memories. We will all miss you.
