Edward BESLOW 79, of Seattle, passed away at his home on January 12, 2005 with his wife, children, in-laws, grandchildren and friends by his side. Ed was born August 11, 1925 in South Seattle where Boeing Field is now located. He was the oldest of 4 children of the late Lena and Edward Beslow. He attended St. George Grade School, O'Dea High School and Seattle College. He served 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. Edward is survived by Vi, his loving wife of 56 years; twin daughters Janis Wyatt and Janet Warner; son Edward John; and their spouses Dan, Howard and Jody respectively; his grandchildren, Dan, Jennifer, Michael, Jaime, Monte, Edward, Charley and Alana; his great grandchildren, Alex, Jillian and Lincoln; and his sister Marie McKellar. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy and Buddy. Ed lived his dreams and enjoyed life to the fullest; cruises with Vi, a hunting safari in Africa, annual trips to Hawaii, fishing and hunting in Conconully, and many social engagements with friends. Edward was the owner and President of National Transfer, Inc. until his retirement in 1995. He was active in the community and was the past President of the Washington Trucking Association, a Charter Member of the Washington Athletic Club, a member of Skyway VFW No. 9430, Italian Club #56, the Beslow Cousins Club, Burien Elks, Renton Eagles, Masonic Lodge and the Thursday Nighters Golf Team. Funeral Mass 11 AM today, Friday, January 14, 2005, at St. George Catholic Church, Seattle. Memorials may be made to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Contributions J5-200, P.O.
